Question: Using this for a counter top. Could a couple coats of polyurethane make it more durable? Answer: I put this in the cabinet under the sink about 6 months ago and that is where we keep our 13-gallon plastic trash container. We slide the trash container in and out regularly and there is not a wear mark of any sort at this time. I don't know if polyurethane would make it even more durable because I have never tried it. All I know is that it is more durable than any contact paper I have ever used. see less
